2017 PokerStars SCOOP Day 10: Viktor Blom and Calvin Anderson Hunting

Introduction

Day 10 of the 2017 SCOOP (PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker) was quite a tame day. Due to issues suffered on the previous day (connection problem), not a single person was crowned on day 10 of the championship.

Notable Players to the Virtual Felt

With no Day 2s to collect a huge cash win, some notable participants took to the virtual felt to progress to stage 2 of the SCOOP-01. A total of 424 participants survived the 2 phase 1 flight for SCOOP-01-L, keeping their hopes of collecting a share of the amazing $1,000,000 for just $11 or even less.

Additionally, there were 2 flights for SCOOP-01-M, raising the buy-in up to $109 and boosting the guaranteed price to $1,500,000. It will be interesting to note that just 139 players took the seats for the second phase including our main man Calvin “Cal42688” Anderson, Ami “uhhMee” Barer, and Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson.

The SCOOP-01-H was a monster. The buy-in was set at $1,050 and the guarantee was set at $5,000,000. Here, a million dollar is guaranteed to the winner or the first place.

Another 2 flights took part on Tuesday with 18 participants surviving the 1st flight. Some eye-catching players included eisenhower1, Daniel “Oxota” Dvoress, Daniel “mrGR33N13” Colman.

There were a total of 25 players to make it via the 2nd flight of the day. They included Ryan “i need sheet” Yu, Jeff “kidwhowon” Gross, Ike “philivey2694” Haxton, and Mark “AceSpades11” Radoja.

SCOOP Notes and News

The 3 events starting on Tuesday were SCOOP-36 PL Omaha H/L, SCOOP-37 NLHE, as well as SCOOP-38 Limit Stud H/L. The 33 survivors of Day two of SCOOP-36-L were lead by “charlycheeba” from Germany. Viktor “isildur1” Blom lead the Day one event of SCOOP-36-M. Day one of SCOOP-36-H saw a leader by the name of Frederik “Fred_Brink” Jensenholds with Jonas “donut604” Mackoff and Stephen “stevie444” Chidwick being among the 17 survivors.

“Knoedeltje” from the Netherlands took the first place in SCOOP-37-L, leading the pack of 82 players. The magic figure was also 82, after the time was stopped on SCOOP-37-M. In this SCOOP, Justin “zeejustin” Bonomo was on fire as he came second only to Ukraine’s “anjeyyy”. SCOOP-37-H, the 2nd Super Tuesday of the Special Edition saw an astonishing field of 771 players. Just 85 made it through with the Austrian “llinusllove” claiming the first place. Donut604 came in third place, with “i need sheet”, Jason “jdtjpoker” Wheeler, Nick “caecilious” Petrangelo, and Elio “smorkrokflock” being in the mix.

The final game to begin on Tuesday also slotted for Day 2. “Mikal12345”, a Norwegian, sits on the top of the SCOOP-38-L with 57 participants remaining in contention. It took Jerry “hummylum” Wong 4 tries to get through to the next round, just behind Russian’s “dinom2242” as well as “izaja kacman” who took the 1st and 2nd position respectively. A dozen of other notable players still remain in SCOOP-38-H. Mike “sirwatts” Watson, Connor “blanconegro” Drinan, Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah, isildur1, Brian “tsarrast” Rast, “joaomathias” still remains on the hunt to overthrow “Gakn29” from the top.

With everything going as planned, fans are guaranteed of getting an exciting event as players try to get to the top of the board.
